Emotions long dead?

I don’t understand?

This was never planned,

How can i feel this way?

I saw her again today,

The shadow from my past,

How long can i last?

This cannot be real,

This way that i feel,

I see her in my dreams,

So very real it seems,

I don’t have the right,

To feel this way,

I had demons to fight,

What gives me the right?

I have to leave her alone,

She has a new life,

What gives me the right?

She is no longer my wife,

I can never tell her,

What would i say?
